Profits

Profit from equity investments amounted to € 5.4 million (€ 8.4 million in 2007) and is mainly due to the share of net profit of investee Autostrada dei Fiori (€ 4.5 million); profit from disposal of investments totalled € 0.1 million € 0.9 million in 2007) and derives mainly from the disposal of instrumental assets. Profit from ordinary activities therefore amounted to € 308.7 million (-16.5% compared with € 369.6 million registered in 2007). Taking into account provisions for income taxes of € 95.8 million (€ 157.3 million in 2007) and profit attributable to minority interests, totalling € 7.4 million (down by 1.2% compared with 2007), net profit amounts to € 205.5 million, basically unchanged compared with the € 204.8 million in the previous year (+0.3%).
